Common questions about mobile mechanic
- What can a mobile mechanic actually do roadside?
- Battery, alternator, starter, sensor swap, hose repair, belt replacement, basic diagnostics — anything that doesn't require a lift or specialized shop equipment. Engine work, transmission, and bodywork need a shop.
- Do you bring parts?
- Most common parts (batteries, sensors, belts, hoses) yes. For specific or rare parts the mechanic can source them and bring them, or you can supply them and we just charge labor.
- Is this cheaper than a tow + shop visit?
- For repairs under 2 hours of labor, usually yes — you skip the tow cost and the shop's diagnostic fee. For bigger jobs, a tow to a real shop is often the right call.
